Troyes
A trip to the charming French town of Troyes took me there for a rather unusual reason: I had come with my grandfather to collect a stereoscope from an auction house.
Located in the Champagne region of northeastern France, Troyes is a historic town known for its beautifully preserved medieval centre, narrow cobbled streets and colourful half-timbered houses, many dating back to the 16th century. Its rich history as an important trading centre is still reflected in its architecture, impressive churches and picturesque squares.
It was a beautiful, sunny day, and we took the opportunity to wander through the old town and enjoy its special atmosphere.
